Lunarians

Carsten Pieper We'll see if Dan Britton will be able to conclude his ambiguous concept of 7 interweaving albums but so far, he fails to disappoint. So. Lunarians is the other sub-tier (?)/parent (??) album to Oceanarium (the other one was Heliotians)... Whatever, the music is great again :-)

Sven B. Schreiber (sbs) Wow, someone slap me... Is it true that already three years have passed since the release of "Oceanarium"?! Anyway, it's great to have this new release around now - part three of a magnum opus spanning seven items, mostly conceived and written by Dan Britton. So "Lunarian" is one of the ingredients to "Oceanarium", besides "Helotians". Don't worry if you don't get the grand concept of this album cycle. The most important thing to know is that there will be four more brilliant albums like this!

about

The presence and prominence of instruments such as bass clarinet, cello, clarinet, flute, oboe, trombone, trumpet, and violin might push some of the music on Lunarians towards "classical" music, but probably not far enough for it to no longer be rounded off to "prog." The lyrics are about various moon-related issues, including lunacy.

Some of the musical ideas on this album are also on the album Oceanarium (2017), which also has some ideas from the album Heliotians (2014), most copies of which also had hand-painted artwork and hand-written lyrics. (HeliOTIANs + LunARIANs ~ OCEANARIUM) However, most ideas that are on two of these albums appear in drastically different arrangements that most listeners probably won't recognize.
